Forest-based Bioeconomy Areas in Uruguay

The Forest-based Bioeconomy Areas in Uruguay and the World: Strategic openings by 2050 project (FBA-Uruguay) aims at developing the potential of the forestry resources in Uruguay. Key objective of the project was to support Uruguayan strategic planning in elaborating a National Development Strategy Uruguay 2050 based on sustainability, including environmental, as well as productive, institutional and social-cultural sustainability. Study was collaborative effort of VTT (main research partner and coordinator) and LUKE - Natural Resources Institute Finland.
